Changes for the 2026 season

  • Head coaches will get a $200 stipend at the end of the season

  • There will be no participation trophies this year (football and cheer)

March 1 @ 8am PT

Cheer Coaches

If you are interested in coaching, please sign up below. All cheer head coaches and assistant coaches must complete the registration form and complete the required background check and child abuse training.

2026 Season Dates & Information

  • March 1 - May 31

    Registration (March 1 to May 31) - $200

  • Late June - early July

    Cheerleaders assigned to squads
    Rosters released

  • July 6 - August 7

    5-week pre-season
    Weekly practices, no games

  • August 8 - September 26

    7-week regular season
    No game September 5 (Labor Day weekend)

    Photo Day August 15

  • October 3 & 17

    Playoff games (all teams)
    No game October 10

  • Eligible ages

    Ages 5-14
    Birthdays from November 1, 2011-June 30, 2021

  • Rosters

    Released in late June or early July.

  • Practices

    Weekly practice day(s) and time(s) TBD, you can make requests when you register). Practices start the week of July 8.

    Min of one 60 minute practice a week. Max of two practices a week. Max of 90 minutes per practice.

  • Games (Saturdays)

    Each game will consist of two 25 minute halves with a 3 minute half-time.

    Cheerleaders will cheer throughout the game, and perform a half time routine each week.

  • Game Day Start Times

    Jr Novice — 8:30 am
    Novice — 9:40 am
    Freshman — 10:50 am
    Sophomore — 12:00 noon
    JV — 1:10 pm
    Varsity — 2:20 pm

  • Code of Conduct

    Applies to coaches, cheerleaders, parents, family members, friends and spectators who come to practices and games.

    1) HAVE FUN!!!

    2) No bad behavior-you and your kid(s) may be suspended by the league administrator for one or more games (no refund) and asked to leave the field for bad behavior (fighting, hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, tackling, bullying, swearing, making negative comments, etc.)

  • Uniforms & Equipment

    The league will provide cheerleaders with a set of MH Youth Cheer uniform (bow, jacket, t-shirt, shell, skirt and briefs), personalized back pack and pom poms.

    White shoes required but not provided.

    Cheerleaders will also receive a team photo at the end of the year. No participation trophies will be given.

  • Special Requests

    No requests are guaranteed! If you or your child chooses not to play because you didn't get all your requests after the roster is released, you will NOT get a refund.

    Be sure to include any special requests when submitting your registration forms. These may include:
    Practice schedules — What days/times you can absolutely NOT practice?
    Sibling requests — You may request to have siblings on the same team if they are close enough in age.
    Friend requests — You may request to be with friends if they are close enough in age.

Fields 1 & 2 — Bethany Park (corner of Comunidad and Legacy)
Fields 3 & 4 — Bethany School (corner of Comunidad and Heritage)

Altamont

Fields 5 & 6 — Altamont Park
These fields are used for practice only, all games are played at Bethany
