2022 Treasure Hunt

What: A fun, family friendly, out-door and Covid19 safe activity for your family or friends (may take 30-60 minutes depending on your walking pace and searching ability)

When: December 15-31
Where: MH Creek Trail (park near the intersection of Heritage and Escuela in Bethany Village of Mountain House find the Start Here sign)

Walk north on Escuela toward Puente and turn left and go across the bridge. At Las Brisas turn left again on the creek trail. Go all the way to Great Valley and turn left and before you get to Escuela turn left again on the creek trail.

Cost: Free! No registration required

Prizes: Amazon e-gift cards

Description: Take a walk along the southern half of MH Creek Trail and look for various clues (you don't have to leave the trail to see the clues) that you will need to solve the puzzle. Please be careful on the trail! No falling allowed.

When you solve the puzzle, email your "answer" AND pictures of you with 2 of the clues to andy@mhflagfootball.com to be entered into the drawing for the Amazon gift cards.

When: December 1-31
Where: MH Creek North Trail
Park on the south bound side of Central Parkway (if you are coming from Wicklund, Bethany or any other villages or cities south of Central Park, you will want to make a U-turn at the end of Central Pkwy to park of the south bound side) just south of the intersection of Giotto and Central Parkway and north of the baseball field.
A shorter trail this year but just as scenic. Please stay on the trail at all times during the hunt. Thank you!

Prizes: Enter a drawing for a few Amazon e-gift cards

Description: No registration required. Go when you have time. Take a walk along the MH Creek Trail (please do not leave the path) and look for various "treasures" (please do not take them or damage them) and clues that you will need to complete the quiz below. Be careful when crossing streets! See map below for route.

Prizes? Of course. Send a pic of you and a treasure you found (any of them) and the answers to the quiz below (to be found on the treasure hunt) to me (andy@mhflagfootball.com) before 6 pm December 17 to be eligible for the drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card! *The answers may be found on the "treasure" or in the general vicinity. 1.  The creek park is home to many feral cats.  During 2012, Mountain House was in the news for the infamous Mountain Lion Incident.  The “mountain lion” turned out to be a fat feral cat later adopted by one of our residents.  What was his adopted name?

Accidental Waiver and Release of Liability (AWRL)

I acknowledge that a treasure hunt may be a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and that participation in a treasure hunt event carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage.  The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants and spectators.  I certify that I am physically fit to participate in these events and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical person.  I consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during these events and to allow photos to be taken and posted on the league websites and related sites.  With full understanding of the potential risks, I assume all of the risks of participating in any way in the MH Treasure Hunt. 

I hereby take action for myself, my executors, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability for my death, serious injury, disability and property loss/damage except that which is the result of gross negligence and/or wanton misconduct of persons or entities listed below: MOUNTAIN HOUSE FLAG FOOTBALL, INC., MOUNTAIN HOUSE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents and other participants and spectators;

(B) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of entities or persons listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and

(C) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the entities or persons mentioned above from any and all liabilities or claims made by myself, other individuals or entities as a result of any of my actions.

I acknowledge that this AWRL form will be used by the event organizers, in which I may participate, and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said events.  This AWRL shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.  This AWRL shall apply to each and every time I participate in these events.

If participant is less than 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.

I, the parent or legal guardian of the participant, will execute the foregoing AWRL for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I represent that I have legal capacity and authority to act for and on behalf of the minor named herein.  I have also read and understand the AWRL and have reviewed them with the minor named herein.  I hereby bind myself, the minor named herein and all other assigns to the terms of the AWRL.  I fully consent to his/her participation in these events.
